The Day After est une proposition d’exposition et de programmes vidéos orchestrés par Nagi Gianni et Yann Perol. En prolongement du festival de performance Jeter son corps dans la bataille (5-8 novembre 2014) dirigé par Maya Bösch, The Day After regroupe une quinzaine d’artistes qui interrogent les interstices et les passages entre différents genres ayant à voir avec la performance.
La notion de performance liée au spectacle vivant est ici mise en scène sous forme de transpositions, de prétextes et de décalages qui mettent en évidence l’aspect performatif aussi bien comme protocole que comme résultat et permettent de déployer la pluralité, la diversité et la richesse des propositions. Même si elles sont sous-tendues par l’idée de live, de direct, ces oeuvres donnent à voir l’aspect protéiforme des images et des genres et constituent une zone indéterminées empruntant au vidéoclip à la mode, à l’art contemporain, à la danse ; une zone transversale et plurielle, transdisciplinaire et pluridisciplinaire, exubérante, drôle et triste à la fois.

The day after is a proposal of exhibition and video programs orchestrated by Nagi Gianni and Yann Perol. As a follow-up to the performance festival Jeter son corps dans la bataille (5-8 November 2014), directed by Maya Bösch, The day after brings together fifteen artists questioning the interstices and the passages between different genres having to do with performance.
The concept of performance related to the performing arts is here staged in the form of transpositions, pretexts and discrepancies that highlight the performative aspect both as a protocol and as a result to deploy the plurality, the diversity and the affluence of the proposals.
Even if they are underpinned by the idea of live these works reveal the multifaceted aspect of images and genres and constitute an indeterminate zone borrowing from fashion, videoclip, contemporary art, dance ; a transdisciplinary and pluridisciplinary area, exuberant, funny and sad at the same time.
